Enel Green Power Australia has commenced construction of the Cohuna Solar Farm a project developed by the Leeson Group. The 34.2MW DC Solar Farm locate in the shire of Gannawarra will use around 87,00 bifacial modules on single axis trackers and generate 77GWh of renewable electricity each year. This will reduce around 71,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions released into the atmosphere every year.
The project is one of 3 solar farms to be awarded a 15 year support agreement with the Victorian State Government through the Victorian Renewable Energy Auction Scheme. The Auction Scheme is part of the Victorian Renewable Energy Target to source 40% of the States electricity production from renewable sources by 2025.
